Day and Night Settings

Set PWM (Day) – Here you’ll set the full brightness that you want your LEDs to attain. The values are given are up to 4095 for maximum control. Default Settings for the Reef are listed below. Default Plant settings are 4095 or 100% (165 watts)for all 9 channels.

  • Channel 9 7 Cree XP-E2 Blue 2975 or 72%

The total energy consumption of these settings is only 75 watts and provides a minimum of 100 PAR on the sand bed of a 30″ deep tank. LEDs are stronger than advertised. This is a good start in acclimating your corals to a new light. When replacing a 400 watt MH you can easily start with a higher setting. A PAR meter is highly recommended to establish a baseline for the change.

Set PWM (Night) – Here you’ll set the full brightness that you want your LEDs to attain. The values are given are up to 4095. Sets a similar setting as the day, but with a brightness that simulates natural moonlight. Ideally you would want the maximum brightness at a full moon that allows all organisms including fish achieve a rest cycle.
